“This Company Is Trying To Make Semi-Permanent Freckles A Thing”

If you’ve ever felt insecure about your freckles and tried to cover them up by caking on concealer, first of all, stop. There’s something so pretty about those natural spots. In fact, in recent seasons at fashion week, makeup artists have been dotting their models with temporary specks for a fresh-faced feel. For anyone who is dying to rock ‘em proudly, but wasn’t born with them like Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid, you might be in luck.
A cosmetic company called Freck Yourself has come up with a way to apply semi-permanent freckles using triangular stencils and a rollerball of formula. “The freckle patterns look natural and last 2 days. Users who apply Freck Yourself every morning have several layers of faded frecks, which produces incredibly realistic results for four to six weeks,” Freck Yourself explains on their Kickstarter page. So, the more you apply, the more realistic the effect.
This method emulates real freckles more than when you use a freckle pencil, like Topshop’s, because it creates a scattered pattern and different size variations. Plus, it doesn’t smudge throughout the day. It’s also a happy medium between makeup that washes off and permanent tattoos that never do.
As of now, the brand has raised $792 of their $215,000 goal, but they still have 27 days to go. If (semi-permanent) spots are speaking to you, then head to the site now to back the project.
